Glucosamine
Glucosamine is one of the two structural components of hyaluronic acid (HA), which is present in human joints and a major component of synovial fluid and an important component of articular cartilage. In the aging patient, the amount of Glucosamine is reduced and joints may become painful.
Glucosamine is obtained from shellfish and processed into a powder for use as a dietary supplement.
Chondroitin Sulfate
Chondroitin sulfate is obtained by extraction from swine (porcine) and is processed into a powder for use as a dietary supplement.
It helps to support joint fluid and cartilage function.
Some Chondroitin sulfate is produced in the human body; the quantity obtained in the diet is generally very small, except from dietary supplements.
Glucosamine Hydrochloride and Chondroitin Sulfate
With increasing age, the capacity to produce both Glucosamine hydrochloride and Chondroitin sulfate lessens, decreasing the amount of these substances available in the human body for support of joint health.
Bio-Curcumin Curcugreen™
Curcugreen™ is a blend of active and potent components of curcumin, curcuminoids, and oils. It is a natural extract of Curcuma longa with a high bioavailability compared with standard curcumin. Curcumin is an active constituent in turmeric.
Curcumin may prevent the formation of oxygen free radicals and counteract the effects of oxidative stress.8
